Passing On Skills

Have you ever reflected on your surname? When I got married, I gained a very unusual name – Tamisari. Somewhere in the distant past, the Tamisari family were craftsmen. Their craft was so much a part of who they were that they became known by it. The world is a very different place now, but I am convinced that for a whole range of reasons, it is just as important as it ever was to pass on skills.

Unlocking Creativity

Often when we talk about creativity, what we are really talking about is skill.  They are often confused with each other and this confusion can leave us feeling less than we are.  When people tell me that they lack creative spark, they mean that they don’t have skills in drawing, or embroidery or writing.  The good news is, that this is not a permanent thing.  Skills can be learnt.
